Earthquake epicenters off the coast of Indonesia

On December 26, 2004 a magnitude 9.0 earthquake occurred off the western coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, throwing out one of the largest tsunami wave sets ever recorded. The quake occurred at 07:58:53 Jakarta local time -- 00:58:53 UTC.
