As the 2007 Taipei IT Month went to the 6th day yesterday, different & multiple marketing battles took place in it. In fact, not only laptop and desktop computers, but also the gaming industry. They battled from high-definition AV-medias to applications on recreation and sports not only in Taiwan but evidently in Japan while some new gaming platforms launched recently.

High-definition market prepares for newly-launched games and platforms
Recently, partners from Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 launched and announced several games for different gamers. But following to the upgrades, on some gaming platforms and FPD manufacturers promoted their products on Full HD and HDMI features, gaming developers should change plans to upgrade their tools to fulfill requirements on upgraded platforms.
Not only for entertainment, but also for recreation and sports
As Wii became another hot topic besides on Xbox 360 & PS3 and was focused by some consumers after Nintendo launched Wii started from Wii Sports, "XaviXPORT", a sports gaming platform imported to Taiwan on October and spoken by movie star Jackie Chan, became a strong contingent for Wii. According to Heng Leong Hang Co., Ltd., a sales manager was interviewed by Rico Shen who said: "Currently, companies from gaming industry often considered on sense of AV-medias, this firmly brought profits for platform companies. However, health condition for several modern people may go bad to worse if they don't realize the importance and concepts on healthy. For example, some gaming companies with small-business scale in Japan had considered an important factor with 'enjoyment and healthiness', that's why some similar platforms battled in the recreation and sports industry. The best practice is a battle recently between Wii Sports & XaviXPORT."
Summary
It can't be ignored that the gaming market brought opportunities for developers. But currently in the presence, a multiple battle from the gaming industry competed not only "what a consumer will buy" but also in the FPD markets and recreation & sports industries.
