[edit] Major Events[edit] Police: Austrian children kept in dungeon were in 'oppressive' conditionsPolice in Austria have reported that the situation in the cellar where people were illegally imprisoned for over two decades is 'oppressive'. They have also said that they cannot stay in the cellar for more than one hour, because of the low oxygen level in the cellar. This announcement comes after police in the Austrian town of Amstetten arrested a 73 year old man who is alleged to have kept his daughter, now aged 42, locked in the cellar of his house since August 29, 1984. |
