No matter how many years the animal has lived with these people and was believed to be domesticated, it honestly doesn't matter. The thing is still a wild animal with instincts imprinted in its brain from the generations before it. It's very sad but people have to draw a line with certain types of pets to keep in your household or around family members. 198.16.3.247 J.R.

This could all have been avoided if the woman hadn't kept a LARGE 200-POUND CHIMPANZEE in her HOUSE... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.63.178.1 (talk) 15:40, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i think that these owners of this retarted chimpanze should become more responsible! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.148.29.167 (talk) 23:20, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And the moral is "You don't mess with wild animals"[edit]

Yes, the chimpanzee was a pet, but these animals—whether pets or fresh from the wild—retain their instincts; plus, a 140-pounds chimp can easily handle four fit men, never mind a 200-pound chimp vs. a weak woman. I feel sorry for the woman and my prayers go to her and her loved ones. --71.190.95.198 04:40, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chimps belong with other chimps in the wild. Nowhere else.
Poor chimp killed the wrong woman. --boo (talk) 20:11, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
