I hope he wins. I don't think that Arnold has the best political/economic background for being a governor. I think Newsom has proven his ability to lead in San Fran. —Calebrw (talk) 17:35, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An interesting position as many in SF have a rather dim view of him. He seems far more concerned with personal initiatives that tend to go nowhere and are often strongly opposed (but pushed forward nonetheless), showy public statements that tend not to have much real effect, and rarely listening to his constituents. Aside from people voting against him due to his position on Prop 8 and LA voters perhaps being more likely to vote for their own mayor (who is rumored to be running) I think SF is probably going to be one of the places where he'll face the most criticism due to his poor local record. 67.169.74.129 11:07, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion on the story!? Bah, I have no opinion, I have a FACT: Newsom is NOT running against Arnold, as Arnie is termed out for the 2010 elections. He will be faring against heavy weights such as Brown where according to all major polls including the Rasmussen's conducted in January and March of 2009 currently indicate his polarized views will force his defeat in the primaries, before he even has the potential in the general election. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 97.117.36.175 (talkcontribs)

Tell Gordon Getty & the J.P. Getty Trust to pay their overdue $6,440,000 bill at MACDONALD BANK … I earned the Getty Oil Company shareholders Four Billion Bucks … On the Reserve acquisition; the way they treat me … it really sucks! As the Getty inheritors bask in glee; All I asked for was that they look after me. Four billion dollars they earned on Reserve … My fee I surely deserve. It turns out J.P. Getty may have been a Nazi; His family even goes back to Germany …. With Hitler, GÖring & Goebbels he did stand; While trying to undermine the American land! For paintings & artifacts he did receive; With his oil he was able to deceive? Hoover & the FBI & Roosevelt they knew … That J.P. Getty & espionage he drew! Many a young lad and Jew did die As planes dropped bombs from the sky. For years while Getty sat in Berlin He may have committed many a sin. The ashes and smoke from the chimneys it rose While old man Getty sat cozy … he chose. With artwork held tightly under his arm Still dripping in blood … as the real owner met harm. Into the ovens & on meat-hooks, bullets between the eyes … Listen very carefully you can still hear their cries! While the Gettys sit in England; at their estate at Wormsley; And Gordon sings in San Francisco … With his 727 in tow; The Getty museum sits atop Malibu; While the corpses of World War 2 scream … “J.P. Getty … We know you!”

Beware which fake out is sent to California's Governor's Mansion[edit]

Supervisor A Peskin: Gavin Newsom runs San Francisco the way the premier of China runs his country - secrecy, lies, misinformation, lack of transparency and manipulating the populace," Peskin said. "He did it so China can report they had a great torch run."

SF Gate reports: "It was an Olympic-sized fake-out.."
