A Great Man[edit]

Tim Russert was a great man, a great journalist, and a true patriot. May he rest in peace. Thunderhead 21:28, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow...I just found out by reading WN...so sad and unexpected...to be honest I am very surprised. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 22:59, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My father told me on the ride home from work, I was in shock and couldn't believe it, but alas it's true. He was "young" at 58, but I can see that with his health history it was only time, but still it is shocking. But, there will be a gap now in Sunday morning talk shows, nobody can fill his boots and chair. Go Bills, Tim, Go Bills. --TUFKAAP (talk) 01:55, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

untimely passing[edit]

man that sucks

I was curious, I notice that it was said that Wiki posted the news on his death 30 minutes earlier than when NBC was going to offically break the news. Not to mention it's tradition for the other networks not to break such news until the original network out of respect. I know you said your source came from someone inside of NBC..... Do you think it was appropriate for you to release the information first beforehand?

I do not know what "tradition" you are referring to. I can, however, tell you that our story was not published before those of other major news outlets, which were reporting it before NBC officially confirmed it. --SVTCobra 19:06, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
