US economy is more important than climate change?

Personally I think that products that will help the US reduce its carbon emissions should be exempt from trade tariffs since the effects of global warming are potentially more devastating than a couple of manufacturers in a fringe industry in the US having competition. After all if sea levels rise the effects it would have on seaside cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Fracisco would make the loss of a couple of million dollars in domestic solar panel sales pale in comparison. 121.222.139.137 (talk) 00:46, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
