I edit women's sport articles, Australian sport articles and Paralympic articles on English Wikipedia, write articles on the same topic for English Wikinews and record the occasional spoken word article. I've previously served as a Wikimedia in Residence for the Australian Paralympic Committee. As a credentialed member of the press, representing Wikimedia Australia as the default winner of the Wikimedians to the Games project, I attended the London Paralympics where I assisted in publishing over 70 articles about the Games. In the build up to the Games, I nominated 59 Australian Paralympics articles for DYK and took six to GA. I've submitted a thesis for a PhD in Communications at the University of Canberra with a focus on Australian sport fan communities on social media networks, specifically as it pertains to events, with a focus on creating a methodological framework for conducting such analysis. I conducted reseach on women's sport and Wikipedia for the National Sport Information Centre, a government funded sports information body that includes a library. I have not been directed to do any editing in this role: All the editing I did on women's sport and Paralympic in Australia I do of my own initiative using assessment process as forms of personal goal setting as I am a goal oriented individual. One of my current projects involves trying to encourage greater sport involvement in WMF projects in terms of sharing content for use on WMF projects, and trying to get media accreditation for Wikimedians like myself to attend the Sochi and Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of this effort, myself and two fellow Wikinewsies are going to Colorado to cover a skiing competition in December. I can often be found on Wikipedia related IRC channels including wikinews, wikipedia-en-sports and wikipedia-en-help.
