Featured Story or more news?

Just wondering what people think about the Featured Story slot - should it remain as is, or be used for a further news type slot (i.e. doesn't have to be necessarily a "featured" style article) --R2b2 01:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

The current "top story" is seven months old! Maybe if there isn't a story from the last week, the page should just say "Nothing's happened in New Zealand", possibly with a suitable graphic.

The problem is one of updates. There are well over 200 nations in the world; feel free to lolunteer to keep them all updated. I suspect one day we'll delete portals altogether. Blood Red Sandman ^{(Talk) (Contribs)} 07:39, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Infoxbox and layout

I'm not sure about removal of the padding around the stories/titles on the main NZ Portal page... To me it looks a bit squashed, and the alignment and use of space of the two non-top stories is a little off too. Also in terms of the Infobox, maybe we could change the right hand Wikinews NZ logo to be the NZ Flag as per the main page? --R2b2 23:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

No worries - I think the Top Story one is ok, its just the other two don't look quite right. Though it could just be the resolution I run my machine at! I'll take a look and have a tweak or two... :D --R2b2 10:34, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
