Sir John Mills dies at 97

Sir John Mills, Academy Award winner, BAFTA Fellow, and Disney Legend, has died, aged 97, at his home in Denham, Buckinghamshire after a short illness.
A funeral service for family and friends is scheduled to be held at St Mary's Church in Denham on Wednesday April 27.
Tributes
Various people have paid tribute to Sir John Mills and his 73 years as an actor in separate interviews with BBC News:
- The actor Corin Redgrave called Sir John Mills a "great character actor", and described him as "a modest man who disguised his contribution".
- Fellow actor and long-time friend Lord Attenborough described Sir John Mills as "a hero of mine" who was "admired both by the general public and by the profession".
- Actor and producer Bryan Forbes commended Sir John Mills' "extraordinary courage" at never retiring, and remarked upon his humour saying "I had some of my best laughs with Johnnie".
