Six employees of Chevron Corporation have been released today. The group, which comprised four Italians, an American and a Croatian, were kidnapped by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta on May 1, 2007.
On the day of their capture, the Movement announced that the hostages would be freed after one month. The six men were handed over to Chevron's officials after one month and one day.
