Original reporting[edit]

During the vote, Wikinews reporter Andrew_pmk noted that the website (http://www.cbc.ca/) of CBC, a major Canadian television network, was unavailable. This was presumably due to the large influx of traffic looking for information on the vote's result. It came up about 5 minutes after the vote was over.

CBC website down?[edit]

Andrew, do you have a source for this line: "During the vote, the website (http://www.cbc.ca/) of CBC, a major Canadian television network, was unavailable"? DoubleBlue (Talk) 16:12, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This was personal observation. The site came up ~5-10 minutes after the Speaker made the deciding vote, and had by then been updated. I do believe that original research is allowed on WikiNews. Andrew pmk 14:23, 22 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
