He was 99 years old. The Livingston County Sheriff's Department have said that Eric Jones, who came from <a href="//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochester,_New_York" class="extiw" title="w:Rochester, New York">Rochester</a> in the state, was driving his car on Route 436 in the town of <a href="//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portage_(town),_New_York" class="extiw" title="w:Portage (town), New York">Portage</a> when he lost control of the vehicle at around 2015 local time, crashing into some trees and a utility pole. Jones was believed to be the only occupant of the vehicle.
