Brainstorm[edit]

I will just put a lot of ideas and information here. I am not considering about pov and understanding issues at this point.

Is the title of the article good?

It'll do, but remember we can only create each title once, so try and make it as specific as possible (without being long). Perhaps "World Social Forum begins in Davodd, Switzerland" would've been better, as I think the WSF is held in a different place each time. Dan100 (Talk) 22:22, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)

This is not the WSF in Switzerland. It is in Porto Alegre - Brazil. --Carlosar 00:41, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I accept suggestions about the title and everything. Thank you -- Carlosar 00:42, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

The following must be changed because it is a copy:
The World Social Forum is an open meeting place where groups and movements of civil society opposed to neo-liberalism and a world dominated by capital or by any form of imperialism, but engaged in building a planetary society centred on the human person, come together to pursue their thinking, to debate ideas democratically, for formulate proposals, share their experiences freely and network for effective action (see the Charter of Principles). The WSF proposed to debate alternative means to building a globalization in solidarity, which respects universal human rights and those of all men and women of all nations and the environment, and is grounded in democratic international systems and institutions at the service of social justice, equality and the sovereignty of peoples.

The article is done. Please see if it acts in accordance with Wikinews norms and standards. Thank you. -- Carlosar 13:46, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Mumbai was NOT WSF it was the Asiian Social Forum (ASF), like the European Social Forum ESF) held uin London Last November, both are part of the larger WSF but Porte Alegre is every 2 years with series of more regional meetings in between.

Porto Alegre X Davos[edit]

I think we should call "2005 World Social Forum in Porto Alegre" instead of just "2005 World Social Forum" because there is the another Forum in Switzerland. -- Carlosar 23:49, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

A separate page for the Forum coverage[edit]

I prepared a different page 2005 World Social Forum-Brazil Coverture so the Forum can be covered along the days. I think this is a better idea since we don't need to change the original article. If you start changing this article will are in risk of entering in a never editing cycle, and that is bad.-- Carlosar 00:11, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

The better title[edit]

"2005 World Social Forum in Porto Alegre" or "2005 World Social Forum" ? -- Carlosar
