Edit request[edit]

{{editprotected}} Title Should be changed to "38 killed in attack on Afghan bank". The people of Afghanistan are Afghans, not Afghanis. The money of Afghanistan is called Afghanis. Afghan is the correct term. Please see the following... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghan_afghani http://ryan.boren.me/2001/11/13/afghan-or-afghani/ http://www.wsu.edu/~brians/errors/afghan.html

Comment - If the term "Afghani" is good enough for the Associated Press to use, it's good enough for us. Request to overturn per this link. BarkingFish (talk) 22:09, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - So if the Associated Press makes a cultural mistake, it should be allowed to be made here as well? Is the Associated Press infalible? Is the advantage of Wikinews not the fact that many sets of eyes review each article, and can make editorial corrections? Not making a correction, simply because a major news organization made the same common mistake is ridiculous. User:tadpole256 (talk) 08:05, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Per the above, I have rejected the pending change outstanding. Further comment on this issue is necessary. BarkingFish (talk) 22:16, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
