cleanup[edit]

  • please use clear and direct headlines, without unduly sensationalising the event.
  • be conservative in reporting deaths, relying only on trustworthy sources and attributing and citing that source fully.
  • try and report who said what when, so as to let readers know whose information is the latest or reliable. (i know, this is not easy, but it is our job.)

Reuters?[edit]

When its says Reuters, is it trying to say reporters?

Reuters is a world-wide news service, they are cited at the bottom of the article.

"Feared" dead?[edit]

How can they be "feared" dead when they are already confirmed to be dead? ~ clearthought 02:23, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

they were feared dead when it ws written. as commented above, it's important to not state that they are "confirmed" dead, until someone authoritative makes a formal announcement that they are. while a/the "police chief" made a statement, i didn't think it served the purpose, as the rank and other datails of this chief were not available (so far as i knew), and it had the look of a drive-by quote to the media. also, the airline authorities (presumably the ones qualified to make a casualities announcement) had stated that they had no info. in short; this article needs to be updated. OK, I was just wondering; thanks for letting me know. ~ clearthought 16:37, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Post-archival edit required[edit]

A link is required to be inserted to PIA Flight 688. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 12:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link now needs fixed; it's in as an internal link, but should go to the Wikipedia article. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 17:39, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Transport in Pakistan[edit]

{{editprotected}}

Can someone please add the category "Transport in Pakistan"? I want to start this fresh category and include news articles related to Pakistani transport.

  • Not done Demonstrate that there is a need for this category by adding it to current news. If valid, we can then go through the archive and add to older stories where applicable. --SVTCobra 00:52, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not done, no such category exists. –Juliancolton | Talk 14:31, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{editprotected}} Category:Multan, Category:Pakistan International Airlines.

  • Done. Please make sure where creating new categories such as Multan you detail how many articles are to be added each time you submit an editprotected request. This saves time for admins checking this. --Brian McNeil / talk 18:39, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
