Not Newsworthy[edit]

This is even less newsworthy than the prime minister's bike being stolen. A lot of people edit wikipedia. The fact that one of them is famous is coincidental. Unless there is some sort of relationship between his editing wikipedia and the anthrax scare, then this is just a piece of trivia. I appreciate that there is no page limit, the age old argument, but we would be reporting this if he was a member of facebook, and we wouldnt be reporting it if he posted vids on youtube, so i suggest we show no bias towards other wikis. If it isn't news worthy, why did the Washington Post mention it? They are a big news outlet... I'm sure they wouldn't be wasting their time on "Trivial" information. Regardless of the IMHO - it is interesting. This is a story that I _wanted_ to read, enough so that I helped make it happen. It might just be a small bit, but I'm sure people out there find it of interest. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 06:01, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the feds used his edits to build their case against Ivins. The anthrax letters were mailed from a letterbox near an office of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Ivins' excessive editing of articles related to them is certainly circumstantial evidence to establish his obsession with the sorority. --+Deprifry+ 08:57, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree with it being trivial. The Wikipedia edits are going to form part of the case against Ivins and is therefore newsworthy - Cartman02au (Talk)(AU Portal) 09:46, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Rekov, it is quite possible we would be reporting if he had a facebook or youtube account. It all depends on what he did with the account. If he used facebook to send messages to Kappa Kappa Gamma member, or used youtube to post videos to them. It's a piece in a puzzle. —Calebrw (talk) 13:03, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am starting to agree with you, especially Deprifry. When I initially read the article, there was no mention of how this information fit with the anthrax scare. I still dont think the kappa kappa gamma thing is relevant, but whatever. The article makes a lot more sense now. Rekov (talk) 15:37, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"critical"?[edit]

Why did no one point out that the actual edits to the article are not, in fact "critical of Kappa Kappa Gamma"? His edits were quite factual and non-POV. The assertion that his edits were obsessive or derogatory are quite silly, from any Wikipedian's frame of reference. 151.197.226.214 17:43, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
