I didn't see this in development anywhere[edit]

...when I first posted an article similar to this one, I think (but I am no longer sure since the original article was deleted) that I actually wrote an article about this first but mine was trumped by a LATER AND BETTER article. Can anyone please explain this to me? -- M (speak/spoken) 01:09, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It appears, from looking at some diffs, that this article was created first: it was published and went live on the front page at 02.30 UTC, while your article was created exactly ten minutes later, at 02.40 UTC. You likely didn't see the story in the newsroom because this was a prepared story, and went from there to {{review}} and subsequently {{publish}} within minutes. Oh, okay. By the way, it also wasn't even on the main page either, but oh well. Thanks for clearing that up. -- M (speak/spoken) 02:03, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. I had to run out and forgot to put a message on your talk page. Actually it was listed on the main page under 'Latest news'. When I deleted the article you created (no offense at all because your article was about as long as mine until saw one in prepared stories). So it wasn't yet on one of the 4 lead stories. Again though I am sorry for not getting back to you quicker. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 04:13, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's perfectly fine, I guess I understand now. Someone beat me to it and I had no realization of it at all, but oh well. Maybe next time will yield better luck for me. You probably saw it on the main page and I didn't, even though I refreshed the page a few times. But stuff takes time to get up, I suppose. Thank you again! :) -- M (speak/spoken) 19:59, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
