Journalist notes[edit]

I e-mailed the results page to scoop and uploaded them to dropbox. The event was the last on the schedule and took place after the closing ceremony. The speaker at the event highlighted repeatedly this was a purely friendly competition and there were no medals. It was intended for fun. The speaker also said that the best time/ranking for a visually impaired skier (of either gender), a male skier (of any group) and a female skier (of any group) counted. The remaining skiers did not. this enabled teams to have one or two DNFs and not be eliminated. It also explains the bolding on the results page. The USA and Canada each had two teams. Not sure how they decided who was on what team. Santacana's times were nowhere near the top. I think he finished eighth overall. --LauraHale (talk) 07:07, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This was originally designed as a photo essay. The Russian test event has been mentioned in other articles in this series, but yeah. It was repeated over the loud speaker that the next major competition before the Winter Paralympics was the Sochi test in March. --LauraHale (talk) 07:09, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, sorry about the poor quality of the video. I could not find an ogg converter that would make the video look as fantastic as it did in the original mov format. --LauraHale (talk) 07:10, 28 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
