A couple of contributors keep on making this mistake, so here is a brief explanation:

The possessive form of "it" is "its":

The word "it's" is the contraction for "it is".

It's understandable to forget this rule, because the possessive form for other words uses an apostrophe.

How do you change the title of an article? I suggest "Chess legend Fischer released from detention in Japan". Fischer faced a 10 year prison term only if tried and convicted, which was by no means a sure thing even if he was returned to the US.

1992 Soviet union?

If they played in 1992 his opponent could not have came from the soviet union. The soviet union collapsed on christmas day 1991.

The first match between Spassky and Fischer was held in 1972. A rematch was later held in Iceland, who view Fischer with great appreciation. -edw 17:33, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
