My chosen interpretation of this is that the announcement received is the event being reported, so that verification becomes observation by the reporter and does not, therefore, strictly require a second source. The Bendingo event was in March, described as 'next month' by the article; I went a bit above-and-beyond for a web sanity-check that he was in it when it actually took place. The NZ event wasn't in Christchurch; the article doesn't do well on answering that basic question. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer.
