Hi, can new users change facts on old news items? Often a body of facts collect and facts change time goes by and stories are confirmed.... Please send me some guidelines for practice on Wikinews. Gregorydavid 09:06, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Usually if the facts were true at the time the story but reported incorrect, they can be edited. Often it is preferable if facts that were reported incorrectly were not available at the time, or additional information becomes available, then a new story is written. If you feel confident that the edit would have been done when the story was written (it would have been known then), feel free to make the edit. If you're still in doubt, report the fact here and other editors will give their opinion. Karen 01:14, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
