Journalist notes[edit]

I have chosen to look at some of this from a country perspective because most of the reporting and blogging commentary I have seen focuses on overall global trends, rather than looking deeply at the report from a nationalistic perspective to see what it says overall about women. This is why I have submitted two articles on this topic. (Plus, this report 426 pages long. There is a huge, huge amount of material here. It is also an important document that will be used by key decision makers. Thus writing about it is very, very important.) This one focuses more on Internet and politicians and mortality.

Comments are inline. I have tried not to draw conclusions and state only the results. Some of this involves comparing things. The article title is crap. Not sure how to convey the idea that the references to this country are pretty much exclusively to men and the issues men face. It is an important fact because most of the country focuses on women, but I doubt there will be much coverage of this country, let alone the fact that the references are to men. This should be the last in the series I will be doing like this. The report is getting a lot of attention on Twitter and I would like to see more coverage of women's issues . The series also connects on some level to global conflict issues. I apologies for the massive OR dumps.
