Conversation with Tony Naar[edit]

  • Americans do not have a paper handbook, unlike Australia, Canada and Brazil.
  • US guide is only available online
  • Said they were defensive about the Paralympic Committeee
  • Denied that the rights were not sold. They bought the rights and onsold them to NBC
  • Tony said this was what Australia used to do. Has not been done since Atlanta 1996. "The Americans are that far behind"

Review of revision 1601335 [Not ready][edit]

According to the USA Paralympic person I spoke to, it is four one-hour wrap ups of the Paralympics run over the course of the Paralympics, where four hours TOTAL is the whole of the coverage by NBC. I spoke to another USA Paralympics person on the bus this morning and confirmed this fact. (I keep talking about this to USA people because it is so absolute shit.) --User:LauraHale —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.183.140.8 (talkcontribs) 11:36, 28 August 2012‎
  • This was the only detail I couldn't confirm from the notes. As I say, I'd recommend including this was with 60-odd journalists and Lord Coe; that makes the 'dressing down' look worse ;) --Brian McNeil / talk 13:01, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
