Just boggles my mind. Karzai and Bush had a press conference today. not one of the reporters asked the most basic question

"why is the US not spraying the opium fields like they spray the cocoa fields of Columbia?"

The CIA and WhiteHouse are both on record as saying the opium trade is a main source of Al-Queda's funds; so allowing the trade to flourish is directly supporting the terrorists. Kazai said he needs 5-6 years to get rid of the poppies.

But the real question is, how can the people and the press be so stupid/sheepish as to accept such bullshit when its causing the deaths of our military people. Paulrevere2005 17:04, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"...supposed to be done by an agency, a department that was funded by the international community, by the United States, by Britain. The failure is theirs, not ours." Sounds as if he is blaming 'the international community' too. Why is this fella's opinion only worth mentioning when he says something against the west?
