Guilt and innocence[edit]

Admittedly, I'm not very good at sticking to my own rule of thumb. However, in cases where serious allegations (regardless of wether I agree with them or not) of innocence are made, I like to use the term convict. That's perfectly factual and neutral; al-Megrahi was convicted at trial, indisputably. Accordingly, I'd be inclined to move to Lockerbie bombing convict Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi dies at home. Or, since the attrocity is so well-known, maybe even simply Lockerbie convict Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi dies at home. A relatively minor point that we've missed in the past, and I'd just go ahead and do it myself, but I don't want to disrupt article creation. OR[edit]

Incidentally, I have notes from an unpublished interview with Richard Marquise of the FBI, who was the chief Amerikan in the investigation. They're intended for use as-and-when I get on with a massive Lockerbie investigative report, but I could dig them out. I likely cannot offer them in time for this article (in about an hour a van arrives for me to move out of my present home in), but in a few days there's likely to be a follow-up and I could likely offer some material for that. I'll be gone overnight at the very least, so please don't hold back waiting for me as it will just degenerate the timeliness of this article.
