OR notes[edit]

So, I was there today, and was tweeting throughout. I've also put a load of photos up on Flickr.

  • Flickr photos. The terms and conditions of the Olympics ticket requires that I'm not allowed to release them for commercial use (and so can't put them on Commons), so they are on CC-BY-NC-SA on Flickr.
  • "They are on their feet in the North Greenwich Arean as Epke Zonderland of the Netherlands produces a stunning high bar routine to claim gold" —BBCSport twitter
    • This is to source the "standing ovation" bit.

Unverified information[edit]

I am unable to verify the following data re the men's horizontal bar. This may well be because the BBC article about that event has, for me, less information than the other three: each of the others has a table at the bottom with the scores, but the one about the men's horizontal bar has instead a video you can watch — available only in the UK.

  • Levya's first name. Afaics there isn't even an en.wp article about him.
  • The identity of the Chinese athlete. The notes (tweets) say Chenglong Zhang, but the BBC article says Zou Kai. I see both of 'em have en.wp articles.
  • That Chinese athlete's score (listed in our article as 16.266, but not mentioned in the notes and not accessible to me in the BBC article).
  • Hambuchen's score.
  • The whole one-sentence paragraph about 1928.

Everything else in the article, I've confirmed. --Pi zero (talk) 02:45, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks for the review...
  1. I made a typo. It's Danell Leyva not Levya. Fixed.
  2. There were two Chinese athletes, Chenglong Zhang and Zou Kai. I mention Chenglong because, if you look at the OR notes, I note that he basically started strong. Zou Kai then did a stronger routine later to get bronze. I've updated the article
  3. I've added a source (another BBC Sport article) that has Zou's score and Chenglong's score linked in the same way the others do. I meant to include that source but it was an oversight.
  4. The new source also include Hambuchen's score.
  5. The new source also includes this fact.
Thanks, sorry about that. I'll pop it up for review again. —Tom Morris (talk) 05:32, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
