  • I was able to confirm, through the Politico source, that in absolute numbers, there were more votes in the Republican primary than the Democratic. I didn't find anything proportional to the sizes of the parties (at least, not for both parties), and I didn't find anything in cited sources about turnout in Arkansas or West Virginia. Checking (extracurricularly, as it were) the Politico pages for those states, I found that in West Virginia the Democratic primary got higher absolute numbers. At that point I shrugged my shoulders and just pulled the comparison.
