We're a little bit late reporting on this but could we have time now? --Saki (talk) 16:55, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You still have time, but it's running out. Can you find a newer source? Benny the mascot (talk) 16:59, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Saki, tighten your text. "Which" Internet page has 1,600 fans. 24.125.55.90 (talk) 18:02, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio[edit]

So re-title the article already. 24.125.55.90 (talk) 19:55, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I took a look at the Times of India article, and the only non-quote that seemed to match was "A non-denominational church in Gainesville,Florida plans to burn copies of the Quran in protest of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States." Was that the copyvio that you were referring to, Brian? Benny the mascot (talk) 21:31, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We could go back to this version [1] and change the title, or start from scratch. Starting from scratch will probably create the better article. --InfantGorilla (talk) 21:54, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't even see where Benny the mascot gets any truthful linkage out of the text cited: "A non-denominational church in Gainesville,Florida plans to burn copies of the Quran in protest of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States." I wrote that opening statement after editting the the original article page. Look people! There is no copyvio. 24.125.55.90 (talk) 22:24, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Benny, are you blind? 24.125.55.90 (talk) 22:29, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

note[edit]

This article's current headline is a copyvio of the Times of India headline and needs to be changed. I am unable to perform this operation as an IP editor. As an involved editor, I'll offer as a suggestion: Pressure mounts against Florida church plans to burn Quran

Opinions[edit]

This is more in the nature of a question. Why is the opinions tab show one person's point of view and does not allow any additional posting?

Why has Scots Don deleted a comment posted on an opinion page? Was it because it was posted in Caps Lock, or because it was a heart-felt rant? Or was it because there is something weird and seriously wrong about the guy who deleted it? See this edit: http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Comments:Pressure_mounts_against_Florida_church_plans_to_burn_Quran&diff=next&oldid=1073409. Suck noogies, Scots Don. 76.161.101.210 (talk)
It seems the original commentator tried to post a comment before the article was published and opened for comments. This meant that other users couldn't add to the comments (and one complained above). I imagine the caps lock added to the annoyance. --InfantGorilla (talk) 14:27, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It seems you missed the satirical nature in the edit summary. Also, after setting up the page properly the summary did say to re-enter the rant, now it can be done properly. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 14:32, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
