Details[edit]

Sorry for any inaccuracies, the sources were what was available at the time and for most part I erred in favour of what was reported on BBC news and Sky 24 over what was available online. There has yet to be an official statement from the German police, especially to how the gunman died, and the exact number of pupils killed, it oscillated between 9 and 10 in the late afternoon. I will either update details or write a supplementary article depending on what facts emerge.KTo288 (talk) 20:40, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I watched the news on TV all evening as I live in the vincinity of where it happened (and I even know some people who go to school there, albeit to a different one). I have to strongly agree with SVTCobra here. The quote left/right templates are to highlight an aspect within the Wikinews story. They are not carried over into the print edition, so it is important that any notable quote they employ is already in use within the body of the article.
I pushed for the creation of these elements to increase the visual impact of an article. If someone scans an article, sees one of these, it may encourage them to read the whole thing. The article should then put the 'advert' quote in context. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:20, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
