Dioxide vs. monoxide[edit]

Should dioxide be monoxide? CO2 is not a pollutant, as I understand it, but CO is. :/ Blast 11.26.06 1620 (UTC -5)

I think I know what they mean when they said "carbon dioxide is a pollutant." This article is about global warming and Carbon Dioxide is often blamed for being responsible for it. MESSEDROCKER 21:43, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Monoxide is an undisputed pollutant. In the last few years there has been an increasing dipsute about dioxide. --InfantGorilla 21:54, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This needs rewriting and more sources[edit]

Shameless hubris on my part. I just removed the {{publish}} tag, and I am afraid I don't have time to fix this myself.

  1. Material was too similar to the API/Fox piece—I cut it
  2. I think this paragraph needs specificity and sourcing:
The case comes just a few weeks after a federal government report concluded that far fewer polar bears cubs are surviving off Alaska's northern coast, something many environmentalists are blaming on global warming. Also earlier this month the NOAA said that signs of warming continue in the Arctic with a decline in sea ice, an increase in shrubs growing on the tundra and rising concerns about the Greenland ice sheet.

(which agency reported about cubs? who at NOAA "said that"?) --InfantGorilla 21:54, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well I hope they do finally do something about this. Cause in the end this will kill us if we do nothing right now. They can't see what is happening to the Polor Bears that is just sad. That is the only home they have where are they going to go when it is all gone cause soon it will be then what. They won't be able to do anything but stand back watch as they become extinct. Something needs to be done for the better they is our only home not just for the animals but for us humans as well.
