How do I make a wikinews brief?Soapy (talk) 18:51, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Instructions for briefs are at Wikinews:News briefs. Here is a link to create a 'briefs' article: http://en.wikinews.org/w/index.php?title=Wikinews_Shorts:_June_15,_2010&action=edit&preload=Template:New_Wikinews_Shorts I copied that link from the right hand column of the newsroom, about half way down.
Meanwhile, the article is now twice as long as when it failed its first review, so it no longer needs to be a brief.

Quotation[edit]

C628, thanks for passing this. Why did you cut the quote?

{{QuoteLeft|People will and must be allowed to raise their issues but we will not tolerate anybody either threatening and disrupting the World Cup.|source=Ttemba Maseko, South African government spokesperson}}

To me, direct speech is the key to lively and interesting news.
