I have reverted the edit to where "Ongoing" links to, the infobox alteady has a link to that article, and the key use (for me) of the ongoing link is to update the death toll on the infobox.

The other links in that column of the last section link to years in wikipedia, and the duration of the precursor to a human epidemic is spread over too many years to readily fit in there. A link to the table gives the year details and a lot more. It is a useful instant information link for the user, as well as for keeping the infobox accurate. --Brian McNeil / talk 21:49, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template name[edit]

I think "infobox" can be dropped from the template name. Should we just rename it, @Pi zero:?

Went ahead and did it. I don't think I succeeded in history merge, but well, it seems to be working fine.

The redirects are the tricky part. If it works, it works. --Pi zero (talk) 12:41, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
