The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said that two British servicemen died in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan. The Ministry released a statement regarding the deaths, the beginning of which can be seen below.
| It is with deep regret that the Ministry of Defence must confirm the deaths of two servicemen from the Royal Air Force Regiment yesterday, Sunday 13 April 2008, in Kandahar Province, southern Afghanistan. |
it was also reported that two British servicemen were also injured. It has been reported that they are not currently in a life-threatening condition.
The MoD has reported that the relatives of the dead have been informed.
