205.177.72.66, welcome to Wikinews! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay! If you haven't done so already, you may want to create an account.
Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!
- Wikinews:Neutral point of view - tell every side to a story in a fair and balanced way
- Wikinews:Cite sources - everything in a Wikinews article must be sourced
Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:
- Wikinews:Introduction - overview of the site
- Wikinews:Writing an article - how to write and publish a complete article
- Wikinews:Content guide - what's suitable for Wikinews
- Wikinews:Contents - the contents page.
- Wikinews:Newsroom - The comunity portal
There are always things to do on Wikinews:
- Existing articles need expanding and checking for spelling and mistakes
- The front page lead articles often need updating
- Developing stories need finishing and publishing
- Discussions need your input
- And of course, stories need writing!
By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --MrMiscellanious (talk) – 20:29, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Trump article[edit]
First of all, please sign your comments by putting "~~~~" at the end of comments you make on talk pages, including mine.
Secondly, it is not our judgement to determine whether Trump might build a nuclear silo on these locations. Our job is to report the facts, and then, to report facts that are important to more people than simply the parties involved.
Your article has potential, however, I don't believe it is news by the guidelines Wikinews uses. Others may disagree. ironiridis 20:37, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Please stop publishing the Google article[edit]
If you'd like to write editorials, here is not the place, as we have a strict NPOV policy. I understand you may be new, but your article about Google has very little information attached to it, other than editorial text and a link. This is not up to Wikinews' standards. If you'd like assitance, you can start an article in development, as long as you do not editorialize the content, and a collaboration will probably take place, and the article may be published. --MrMiscellanious (talk) – 20:26, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Please don't do that.[edit]
Feel welcome here on Wikinews, but please don't be a bother. Please stop pasting that message to many other's user pages. - Amgine | talk en.WN 20:52, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Notice of Temporary Block[edit]
Clean up[edit]
This user has obliterated their talk page, making it extremely difficult for anyone to communicate with them. Perhaps it would be a good idea to revert it? Does someone's vandalism of their own talk page still count as vandalism? irid:t 18:48, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- Done and done. —MESSEDROCKER (talk) 19:04, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
Talk page[edit]
Please do not delete this page again. Additionally, continuing to threaten to sue this website will result in a block or ban, as it is a violation of our usage policies for you to threaten said legal matters against this site. --MrMiscellanious (talk) – 22:58, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I cannot do that for you. --MrMiscellanious (talk) – 23:01, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Bahrain article[edit]
I've deleted your article because it is a duplicate of the previous article. Please check the developing articles before making a new one. --MrMiscellanious (talk) – 22:20, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
user page[edit]
First of all, I find your user page a little confusing. Could you explain what your goals with that are? Secondly, would you like to create an account as the IP we use to find anonoymous users (like you) may change from time to time, (depending on ISP), which makes it cofusing to say the least. You also can choose a cooler name then just a random number. Lastly, I wish to welcome you to wikinews, and wish you happy editing. Bawolff ☺☻ 23:13, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- By the way I merged your article about the ferry with the other one. Although they were very similiar, I found it strange that mrm deleted it, without merging first or using the {{Dupe}} template. Bawolff ☺☻ 23:29, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
