Welcome[edit]

AzaToth, welcome to Wikinews! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Our key policies - if you read anything, read these!

Here a few pointers to help you get to know Wikinews:

There are always things to do on Wikinews:

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), which produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, you can ask them at the water cooler or to anyone on the Welcommittee, or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Nice work. Looks much better than the images I quickly created when I was setting up the weather bot. Regards. Adambro 17:27, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, though perhaps some colors should be modified a bit, and perhaps aditional colors should be added AzaToth 17:39, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redesign[edit]

Your new design is really looking excellent. You have a talent for it - I see where you are going. We have so many main page redesigns. If you go to the "Featured Picture" on the front page and look to the pages that link to it, you'll see some of the attempts (I deleted my own, though I did make an attempt to design the inside stories so that there is more fluid internal navigation. --David Shankbone - (talk) 13:54, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The new design is amazing. I know I voted against it but it is much, much better than the current design. I clearly made a mistake by opposing it.I am sorry for opposing it. --Anonymous101 Talk 15:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he just needs to fix it in Internet Explorer. In Firefox the three-column design at the bottom is absolutely perfect. We are very appreciative - you've given us a new professional design that will work well with other changes. --David Shankbone - (talk) 15:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Me thinks me human, me checks... AzaToth - (talk) 21:34, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I presume you've uploaded this image in order to demonstrate an issue with the site. Could you ensure that you tag it for deletion with {{delete}} once it is no longer required. Thanks. Adambro - (talk) 22:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page move[edit]

Thank you for the page move, your title makes a bit more sense - I just made a minor correction of "it's" (it is), to possessive "its". Cheers, Cirt (talk) 20:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Twinkle on other wikis[edit]

Hi Azatoth, per your message on IRC, is there a way to remove that editload error when using Twinkle on wikis that are not English, where I'm having troubles. Any help will be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance, Diego Grez return fire 18:16, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!

Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.

Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
Point 4 of the Privilege expiry policy provides for fast-tracking reacquisition of privileges. We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.
