  • A Wikinews article must focus on a specific, relevant, recent news event. This article is not presented as being about a specific event, neither by its headline nor by its lede.
  • The purpose of the lede is to succinctly answer as many as reasonably possible of the basic questions about the news event.
  • The news event must be verified by at least two mutually independent news sources. So with the current sources, any news event sufficiently verified would no longer be fresh.
  • Use of a press release as a source for a synthesis article is dubious; depending on what information is being drawn from it, it's likely not to be a trust-worthy source. (It's also pretty certain not to be neutral, but of course non-neutral sources are perfectly useable; one just has to be aware of the bias, so the Wikinews article can be neutral.)
  • The WSJ source wants me to subscribe if I want access. Wikinews policy prohibits pay-to-view sources.
