The so-called policies that are posted on the site are not policies and are not likely to even be good ideas at this point in time. Ignore them. Do good work, and let the rules come later. — Jimbo Wales 01:40, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Please don't delete other contributor's comments[edit]

Why did you just delete the comments of wunderer, IlyaHaykinson, Schnee, Richard, Whosyourjudas, Rhobite, and Davodd on the Review process poll?

Please double-check the effect of your recent edit in the Edit History] and restore these contributor's comments.

If you don't know how to fix your hopefully un-intentional deletions, please let me know and I will restore the comments for you.

Ahem. Never mind.
It appears there is a database corruption that is making it look as if you are deleting other people's comments, but I just removed a space two edits in a row, and you are still showing up as the last editor.
My apologies that you are the un-intended victim of this database corruption.
Hopefully this is a known bug that will be fixed in the software.
Sorry to point the finger at you before I had performed more careful analysis. I assume the software is supposed to work, sometimes without realizing it has bugs.

Don't worry about it. I was confused at first, having only edited that page once. I, too, would have assumed the software was correct, and that the database was not corrupt. Apologies accepted. — Francisco | Talk 20:52, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)
