section headings for dates[edit]

i prefer something smaller than what we are using right now. Doldrums 09:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no {{TODAY}} at the top of the page, is this intentional? Doldrums 09:25, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

have u seen what's at the bottom of my Sandbox? the create article textbox gets pushed down into the two column area or removed from the page altogether - people go to Wikinews:Writing an article or Wikinews:Newsroom to start writing, a good thing, in my view. Comments: perhaps some padding between two columns at top, RSS feeds die. Even if you don't like the button, we should have a link to WN:RSS i think. Bawolff ☺☻ 02:20, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comments[edit]

I can't say I like it. The sections look far too seperate from each other, and the header looks like it is split away from the main content (in the green). I'm not a designer so I can't really say how it could be improved other than *keep it open*. --Skenmy(talk)|(ideas) 19:27, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just looked at this in lynx. I think its better then the current main page, however it would be great if the main lead was between the topics and the Article listings (IMHO). however that would likly be very hard to acomplish and keep the same for graphic browsers, without some very fancy CSS. Main page title[edit]

Would you want to get rid of the page title (H1 Main Page at top of page) if you used this, like wikipedia: and wiktionary: do? This page does have a big welcome to wikinews. Bawolff ☺☻ 04:39, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
