I have the user on at least two wikis now, same attacks but very different IPs. My guess is he's on Tor. - Amgine | t 01:04, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks mate.. it worked i think :-) Gvenkat5 (talk) 02:59, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you for your note

Thank you for your note. It should be on the page for the peer review as part of the instructions, it shouldn't be something folks are advised of on their talk pages. I would like to see this changed. I will then wait till I am invited to be an editor. It is obivously not time right now with your current note. SriMesh | talk 00:16, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

I will consider putting in the note about being an editor... on the Requests for permissions page. Today I am tired ... no exhausted, and am still kind of taking baby steps learning the everythingness. I think it is better to be more on the cautious side on wikinews as compared to wikipedia when I look over all the PR prerequisites and compare to the paper newspapers and their successes and ooops and what nots. It is terribly interesting though. SriMesh | talk 01:12, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Oh my goodness

Thank you for the barnstar!!!! Kind regards SriMesh | talk 01:12, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Tempodivalse

Well I was just looking to find a place for this. I am new to posting on Wikipedia, so there-fore I mad e simple mistake. But for you to just delete it without asking me about it first is just not right. Being this is apublic forum of sorts I thought i would have some kind of leniency with powsting, but i guess I just ran into another God-Like person, that can and will delete what they don't care for. Oh well I found out rather quickley what this website is all about... crap.... just your own personal space to crawl in and hide behind... cancel me i don't care. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Placerau (talkcontribs)

I am sorry you feel that way. However, everything I did was according to site policy. The criteria for speedy deletion does not require that I contact the author of an article before deleting it, and your article certainly qualified for immediate removal. Perhaps your article might be accepted on Wikipedia or Wiktionary instead. Best regards, Tempo di Valse ♪ 01:20, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] River height

in Namibia struck by floods, declares state of emergency, I'm not seeing the "Zambezi River had reached 7.1 metres, compared to last year's peak of 5.37 metres" bit in the sources listed? --Killing Vector (talk) 21:46, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Ahh, I see it, my bad. -Killing Vector (talk) 21:49, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] You marked one of my articles as a dispute.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have edited my article in the manner you requested with lower casing the headline. It is an article on a micronation that I discovered. I thought that it was an interesting situation that a micronation would announce that they were opening an embassy to a real state. I thought that since Wikinews is a newspaper that is supposed to be one for interesting and unusual news that this would be of interest to the Wikinews readers. Please review the article at your convenience and please feel free to e-mail me at rkenady1@gmail.com so that I can make any other needed changes that you feel are needed. I would ask though that you please consider going easy on this article and publishing this as this is my first article. I hope that it will be published so that I can continue to contribute other articles. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ron Kenady —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rkenady (talkcontribs) 05:01, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Main Page

I see that you have been making changes to the main page. I made a few minor changes, but still think there is a way to organize or compact all of the latest news on the left. What do you think? R.T. 00:31, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

That sounds like a great idea. I'll try it now. R.T. 00:53, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
You beat me to it, and it looks much more balanced now. Now, the long list of news on the left. Do you think there's a way to compact it? R.T. 00:55, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't want to touch the template because it is the source of the RSS feed, but I think that I found somebody who knows about the RSS feed and can implement some sort of a new organization system. User:Cspurrier seems like our best bet because he manages the feed. R.T. 01:03, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
I just did realize that the list is much longer than normal. I also made a a minor tweak moving the create an article box up a bit more, to encourage more writing. I think that this redesign just shows how good a collaborative site like this can be. We both made drafts yesterday and basically put them together. Great work.
I, Red Thunder, hereby award Tempodivalse the Wikinews Trophy for helping to create a more organized, news-like main page. R.T. 01:16, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Latest news

I think I found a way to keep the latest news at a fixed height at all times. Take a look and tell me what you think. R.T. 01:33, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Looks good. Great job overall, I think I'm done for the night. R.T. 01:37, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
