I already left him a note. It is at least triple the work ... two edits on the collab page and one to the article itself when it could just be one ... As far as increasing your edit count, I'd rather see you do that by writing new stories for Wikinews. --SVTCobra 01:04, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

I am a regular editor and admin at Wikipedia, but I just wrote my first article, Explosion at ConAgra plant in North Carolina, multiple injuries. I did my best to RTFM before writing it, but I was wondering if you could give is a perusal to see if I did everything right, seeing as this was my first attempt. Just one more quick question; with regard to updates to stories; what is the common practice? Since this is sort of a "breaking" story, if there are updates say, later tonight or tomorrow should I write a new story or just add more information to this one? When you update the main page please do not eliminate notcategory=No publish and notcategory=Archived from the <DynamicPageList>. Thats not the reason. At one point (quite recently relative to the introduction of DPL) it was felt it was easier to archive things by instead of protecting them, put everything in a noinclude tag, than transclude all the articles for a month on a single page, than cascade protect that page. (See Wikinews:Archived articles protection list). p.s. The extension we use is officially called mw:Extension:intersection. (It was renamed some time ago) DynamicPageList refers to a different (cooler; like way *cooler*; for example imagine the leads being automatically updated by a dpl) extension (usually referred to as DPLv2). Regarding contributing to the India page

Thanks for the welcome message!

We run a small website where we write news articles for those who are interested in keeping in touch with India. The website is at NetIndian. We feel that we can contribute to the India section of Wikinews with more updated news and photos. I have a few doubts regarding this, with which I hope you can help out:

• What we will be doing basically is a copy-paste of our article, which is of course, fully-owned by us, into Wikipedia, citing our website as a citation. Is this permissible under Wikinews guidelines?

We at NetIndian were looking at the possibility of a loose collaboration, but we weren't comfortable with the idea of giving up the copyright on our content just yet, which would be required, if we do post our content on WikiNews. Maybe in the future, we shall think differently.
