Away
I'll be not able to edit as much out of college hours due to my mac having some problems with its Ethernet port. It should get fixed soon and i'll be able to edit properly again. Matt/TheFearow | userpage | contribs 05:13, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Re: Wikinews
Sure. It shouldn't be a problem. =) I'll go stick a request on the bot page. --slakr\ talk / 03:07, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
ads.js
I copied your User:TheFearow/ads.js to User:FellowWikiNews/ads.js and also the randomad.js page. I did a hard refresh. It still shows the old moto. Am I doing something wrong? —FellowWiki Newsie 17:08, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Dont copy them, delete your versions, and edit your monobook.js to be like my monobook.js. Matt/TheFearow | userpage | contribs 20:41, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
Renamed yourself again?
Having a bit of an identity crisis? ;-) Bawolff ☺☻ 00:48, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- It is a bit confusing seeing you as TheFearow in the edit histories, but your sig is Matt on all the talk and discussion pages. Personally, I'd like to see the sig and username match up. --SVTCobra 01:00, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Whoops, Feel free to update it on Template:SS. I got renamed back so that SUL would work smoothly (no way to merge Matt back in or rename my others to Matt). Matt/TheFearow | userpage | contribs 09:05, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry
OK. I am sorry - I made a blunder. Thank you!Prasuk 11:02, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Expanding Ticker
Hi Matt,
I tried to expand the ticker to my wiki ([1]). To reach this, I copied the part of common.js, common.css, ticker.js and the js for the stylesheet. I also made a source for the ticker like on your page but somehow it doesn't work. Do you have any idea why this could be?
hsp 19:13, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Make sure you have the importScript function on your common.js. I would check for myself but your RandomSelecting extension is causing errors. When you get that fixed tell me and ill find the problem. Matt/TheFearow | userpage | contribs 20:03, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, can you show me the errors you get? - BLD 85.127.236.106 19:12, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
I've tried it again and copied the common.js, common.css, ticker.js and pagecss.js exactly identically to Donkpedia. The source was on a user account. However, it didn't work. I've really no idea what the problem coud be.

Could you email the source of this interview (unformatted IRC log) to the wikinews OTRS account so we can add it to the talk page as a reference? --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 20:06, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
As a user of this template, I would like to notify you that I have proposed it be deleted. Please see WN:DR where I've outlined a number of concerns about it. Regards. Adambro 00:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

pt.wikinews
Hello! I am editor of wikinews in Portuguese, and I would take the "ticker" for that wikinews could tell me what are the codes? From now thank! Sir Lestaty de Lioncourt✉ 09:04, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
breaking news and the ticker
Hi matt,
two small things;
Your current ticker refers to 'Stolen Generations' - it's actually most commonly known in the singular - 'The Stolen Generation' - just fyi...
secondly you're probably aware of the depressing news of another school shooting - at Northern Illinois Univ; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Illinois_University http://www.niu.edu/alert/campus_alert.shtml
which will no doubt be big news very shortly, it's seems very sad and depressing, and I'm sorry to break it......
thanks,

Signature deletion warning
Please be aware that I intend to delete the signature template {{ss}} which you use per the deletion request. I'd also note the comments at https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11414 by one of the WMF developers, Brion Vibber, who says that "templates are disallowed in sigs" in response to the suggestion that not being able to use a template signature is a bug.
I'd therefore ask that you immediately update Special:Preferences to remove the template from your signature. By using this template, you have noted that having long signatures as part of a comment can be a nuisance. I'd therefore suggest that you greatly simplify your signature and carefully consider whether multiple links and different text styles really are appropriate.
I will delete the template after I've run my bot through the pages which it is used and substituted it to maintain the signature as per the template. Adambro - (talk) 19:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
