  • What is your take on systemic bias here on Wikinews? What do you feel about our chronic lack of female contributors, and how it reflects on the ArbCom candidates all being white males between 15 and 45 from Western countries? Doesn't cultural perspective influence discussion processes? --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 17:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there is a bias on Wikinews. As long as those who are on the Arb Com are understanding of different viewpoints and have an open mind, then having a committee full of males and 16-year-olds and Westerners shouldn't matter. A different cultural perspective could be a slight advantage, but not too much that we should take that into account when voting. --Nzgabriel | Talk 06:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am a 16-year-old male, born and raised in New Zealand. --Nzgabriel | Talk 03:36, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
