• Delete. I compared the two texts, the first version of the Wikinews article and the article cited as the source therein. They are virtually identical. I checked their terms of use just in case, but found no permission for this type of use. Potential copyright violation. The text of the article is identical with an external site, Food Safety Network. The external site's material is dated as July 9, Wikinews' post occurred July 18, so there is little reason to think that they copied our material. The Food Safety Network's materials are released under a limited license that is incompatible with Wikinews' CC-BY in a number of ways. See article's talk for details of the incompatibility. It is possible in theory that the copyrightholder (Dr. Doug Powell) posted the material, in which case there would be no problem. But I think it is unlikely given the contributor's account name on Wikinews (which can be seen here.) Tomos 09:22, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
