English: St Margarets Church tower , Barking The Parish Church of St Margaret of Antioch is situated in the grounds on the south side of the ruins of Barking Abbey. The church was founded in about 1215 and enlarged and altered in the 15th and 16th centaurys. Captain Cook was married here in 1762. http://www.saintmargarets.org.uk/history/history1.htm
