"How cruel can Hamas be? We will not cooperate with Hamas. We will not compromise with Hamas." This sentence sums up the problem in the Middle East, in my opinion. This attitude, existing on both sides of the fence, is the entire conflict in a nutshell. In essence, they're saying, "I don't like them; kill their civilians." They also jumped to the conclusion that the soldier had been forced to say this; but even so, he's right, isn't he? The thousands of civilians who have died on the Palestinian side have families, too, don't they? How about the (alleged) thousands of muslims held captive in Israel without trial for being a "threat to national security"? This happens on both sides, and it's always the leaders who have this attitude. The zionist government in Israel and the extremist Muslims who are de facto in charge of Lebanon and the Palestinian land make the decisions. I know for sure that most regular Muslims want peace, and I'm quite certain that the regular Jews feel the same way. People don't want to live in fear. I've been to Tripoli in Lebanon, and I've spoken to the people who live there. They do not want to see their houses in ruins, or their children's limp bodies in their arms. The terrorists and the zionists claim that they're fighting off the enemy to help their people. In reality, they're their own people's enemies. The people whom this affects are the ones who can't do anything about this. That's what makes the world go around, I guess. Back to the question: "how cruel can Hamas be?" Just as cruel as you make them... —193.193.85.118 21:42, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You say Zionist like it's a bad word. --85.130.165.18 11:25, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose "Terrorist" is perfectly fine, too? --193.193.85.118 18:25, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
