Im glad i dont live in the USA. I wish the USA would look at other democratic countries before they start spouting inane arguments like "WE NEED GUNS, OTHERWISE WE HAVE NOTHING TO DEFEND OURSELVES WITH IF THE GOVERNMENT TURNS EVIL AND DECIDES TO KILL US ALL".
An Idealised world would have no guns
[edit]But it also wouldnt have crime. At this point, its so far gone that restricting guns does more harm than good. Your asking a -criminal-, who by definition is already breaking a law, to comply with another law? Sounds like a bit of idealisim tbh. 164.116.47.180 (talk) 16:21, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- If the War on Drugs is any indication, bans aren't going to work without a radical new approach, one that might actually get (drugs/guns) out of criminal hands. An oppressive government is the least of my worries; it's probably quite the opposite that motivates people: those who feel a need for guns don't believe the government can protect them. --67.174.131.145 (talk) 03:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
