Although Trudeau did much for Canada's international image and the Quebec-Canada problem, he was also the author of what I consider two major catastrophies in this country.

trudeau and his liberal government were responsible for the downsizing of the Canadian Armed Forces. Canada used to have one of the best Armed Forces in the world. After Truedeau was finished with his butchery, our forces were in dire need of more soliers, more equipment, and more money so that not only could the Forces operate efficiently, but the members could feed their families properly.

The second thing that he did was put this country into debt. Canada is still trying to recover from the debt that Mr. Trudeau and his liberals caused in Canada. When my father built his home, he took out a thirty year fixed mortgae at seven percent. He was earning a higher return on his dollar by keeping his money in the bank than by paying off his morgage. Mr. Trudeau borrowed money to enable my father and his generation to borrow money at such low interest rates. Unfortunately, two generations later, and the debt is not paid off.

Why is it that Canadians and the world look at Mr. Trudeau for the good things he accomplshed but turn a blind eye to the damage that he caused every Canadian after his death. Even now, we have soldiers being killed overseas as an indirect result of Mr. Trudeau . Our Armed Forces are still trying to come up with the cash to buy modern up-to-date equipment for our soldiers fighting in other countries. Perhaps, if Mr. Trudeau had kept his hands off of our Armed Forces during the time he was in power, we would still have a modern and efficient armed forces.

Let's face it, none of our Prime Ministers are perfect. Hwoever, if we are going to praise a man for the good he did, we must also remeber the damage he did also.

Brian Mulroney who hid $250,000.00 in MILA'S panties,

The plan to spring Brian Mulroney from jail must have seemed like a long shot. Brian Mulroney who hid $250,000.00 had been assessed by the Canadian authorities as highly dangerous. The prison, in Kingston, was suitably secure.

It was therefore the optimist among Mulroney's associates ( MILA ) who had the simple idea of faxing the prison authorities from a local grocery store with bogus instructions that "demanded" Brian Mulroney be released. Only an optimist might have believed officials would free their friend on the basis of an absurdly fabricated decree from the Canada's highest court: a document with no letterhead and one littered with spelling and grammatical mistakes. {{subst:UnsignedIP|1=99.237.239.92|2=21:39, 10 July 2009 (UTC)}}
