Norm, I just read of your diagnosis. I got Bell's palsy in April of 2008 and still working on a full recovery. It will take time and patience so be prepared. One thing I think you should know is not to put to much into the time tables the doctors are giving you for your recovery. I too was told I should have a complete recovery in a couple months but sometimes it takes much longer. I am 17 months into this and still in active recovery. Its hard and some days it takes all my energy to be positive. A true blow. Your comment about this not deterring any of your future plans and positive attitude makes me feel I'm not so alone with this illness. I wish you the best as you recover.
