Summary
DescriptionBone scan.jpg |
People living with cancer are either in treatment or else being monitored. Today, doctors have many different ways of looking inside of us: Xrays, CAT scans, MRIs, ultrasound, echocardiograms, PET scans, and bone scans, to name a few. The images help the doctors know if a treatment is working or not. I hadnt had a scan in several years, so this month I'm catching up. I was hoping to take a picture of every machine that took a picture of me, but I received an unexpected Xray several hours after I took this picture, and I no longer had my camera on me. Oh well. I also received a card, similar to this one, which explained to authorities why I might be setting off radioactivity alarms. Apparently, radioactivity detectors are now set up in all sorts of places where people congregate. |
